SHA Hosts Financial Insights and Homebuying Training

In celebration of Homeownership Month, the Sylacauga Housing Authority hosted “Financial Insights and Homebuying Training” in partnership with Hope Credit Union and the Sylacauga Area Habitat for Humanity. The course provided financial literacy and insight for residents of all SHA properties and informed residents on how to prepare for the homebuying process; as well as, the Habitat for Humanity homeownership process.

Hope Credit Union provided information and resources in relation to how SHA residents can become more self-sufficient in regards to credit monitoring, resolving credit issues, and increasing their credit score amongst other beneficial topics. They explained the importance of credit scores such as the loan approval process, and financing options. Residents were given the opportunity to inquire about topics that specifically related to their personal circumstances. Additionally, representatives were available to discuss Hope Credit Union and their products and services that would be beneficial to SHA residents. Learn more about Hope Credit Union here
