SHA Coronavirus Update

Please Read Carefully.

Dear Resident,

As you have no doubt heard, the government is urging private and public agencies to take steps to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus. One avenue the government is advocating to accomplish this is social distancing or avoiding contact with other individuals as much as possible. With this in mind, all of SHA offices will be closed to the public until further notice; however, our employees will be present and working during normal business hours.

If you are currently scheduled to come to the office for recertification, you should disregard that appointment for now. You will be informed when your appointment is rescheduled. Any issue you have that can be handled by phone, should be. If you have an issue that you feel requires you to come to the offices for any reason, call to get approval and make an appointment before coming to the office. Do not come into our offices for any reason if you are sick or experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms.

Effective immediately, SHA Maintenance workers will only respond to emergency work orders. Use the same number you usually call to phone in any maintenance situation, but only emergency situations will be addressed immediately. Others will be addressed once Coronavirus protocols are removed. Tenants will be asked to vacate their apartments wile maintenance personnel are present.

Rent is still due on the usual dates, and all penalties and/or late fees still apply. All payments should be made using the drop box. Hopefully, this situation will be resolved soon, and we can return to business as usual. Until then, we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and we appreciate your cooperation in this matter.

Sam Royster, Executive Director
